Two Roc stars are teaming up for one big collaboration. Rihanna has recorded a song with her Roc Nation labelmate J. Cole, Rap-Up has exclusively learned.
Deputy, the producer behind “Bitch Better Have My Money,” revealed that the “mid-tempo” song is set to appear on Rihanna’s upcoming eighth album.
“I worked on another [track] with J. Cole,” he told Rap-Up TV at Thursday’s in Beverly Hills. “It’s something that you wouldn’t expect, but it’s really dope. It’s a really great song.”
Cole previously appeared on a remix to Rihanna’s single “S&M” off her 2010 albumLoud.
So what is RiRi like in the studio? “The vibe is super cool. She’s really chill, really locked in and focused on the task at hand,” shared Deputy. “But at the same time also fun and funny, so it was really a great experience.”
The video for “Bitch Better Have My Money” will premiere on Thursday, July 2. “I heard from the grapevine that it’s kinda epic,” he said. “It’s pretty extensive and crazy.”
